Source: Cytiva

The ÄKTA oligosynt™ oligonucleotide synthesizer is a compact, fully automated system designed for research and process development laboratories, offering high-yield, high-quality oligonucleotide synthesis with scalability to larger systems. Its small footprint and optimized flow path minimize reagent use and maximize efficiency, making it ideal for flexible research and development applications.

  • Broad Synthesis Scale: The system accommodates various synthesis scales with optimized hold-up volume, limiting dilution of costly amidites and reducing reagent waste.
  • User-Friendly Interface: Flexible method editing and an interactive interface simplify operation and scale-up processes.
  • Robust Process Control: Integrated sensors measure pressure, air, temperature, UV, and conductivity, ensuring precision and reliability. The system also supports external module inputs for expanded functionality.
  • Open-Front Design: Easy access to modules and full ventilation enhance usability and maintenance.

The ÄKTA oligosynt™ includes two high-precision pumps, a pressure monitor, multiple solvent and amidite valves, a recirculation valve, a column valve, a waste valve, an I/O-box, a UV monitor, and a conductivity monitor—all crucial for precise and efficient synthesis.

Controlled by UNICORN™ software, the system provides real-time monitoring, easy method creation, and result evaluation. Pre-defined methods and a sequence editor enable quick setup, while the transparent method overview ensures clarity with minimal use of macros.

The ÄKTA oligosynt™ is a powerful, scalable solution for efficient and high-quality oligonucleotide synthesis, streamlining research and process development.
