Formulating Polymer Nanoparticles with the Nova System
By Ryan Markewicz, Haden L. Scott, PhD., Elizabeth Klavon, M.S., Michael H.L. Nguyen, PhD., and Graham Taylor, PhD.

Despite the recent successes of their lipid nano-particle (LNPs) counter-parts, Polymer-based nanoparticles (PNPs) can bring about more efficient and targeted treatments due to their ease of tunability, control over critical quality attributes, excellent retention time, and drug-load protection. Researchers working to push PNP's to their full potential are facing challenges with scaling-up manufacturing and production to larger scales. The Nova Benchtop (BT) is a versatile platform designed to address these challenges. This study provides a detailed overview of PNP production, including small sample screening and process optimization using the novel Nova BT platform.
